The Muppets in Thor is NOT another fake trailer for the upcoming movie. It's a 24-page mostly-24-hour comic by the guy who does Max Overacts. Note: contains discrete male nudity, pig-on-Norse-God violence, obscure references (Junior Woodchucks!), sentimental time travel and IMO very good use of a lot of familiar characters, including Rowlf (MY favorite Muppet) putting it all in perspective.

Watch out for discrete nudity--it's either tasteful or perverted. No in-between.

That was a very sweet ending.

I cannot yet find the nudity, which is fine, but now I'm concerned that I'm missing all kinds of nudity lately and not even realizing it.

Is it really discrete nudity or discreet nudity?

Awesome. Needs to be longer and in color, and you could expand the idea to all sorts of other myths and legends and real historical figures. The Muppets (in Tiiiiime and Spaaaaace!) Big Adventure Goes Back to the Future.

Unexpectedly sentimental and not quite what I thought it would be.

Excellently done.

I wonder what Walt Simonson would think of this?

Me too. All I really saw was a quick sketch of Thor's rather unattractive square and flat ass.

pig-on-Norse-God violence

I just like that this is a thing that exists in some form (even comic book form).

And I knew Miss Piggy was secretly a Viking deity. Thor almost outed her but she cut him off. If you read the missing panels she's actually whispering "Shut. Up. I'm a perfectly fucking normal talking pig, ok? Not a goddess taking a vacation among the mortals." through gritted teeth.

Robin was never a Junior Woodchuck. He was a Frog Scout!

...and having actually read the comic, it was really quite lovely. Thanks, oneswellfoop.

Well, as long as we're on the subject of things that are not Thor (the movie), let's stop and take a look at the indy film classic, Thor at the Bus Stop.

Jim Henson's was the first celebrity death to make me really sad. I was on the fence about this...until I saw where/when Kermit was going. That sold me.

Wow. Way to take what could have been just a lame parody and turn it into something fun and ultimately moving. How very Muppety.

The last scene between Kermit and Rowlf reminds me of my favorite scene from The Muppet Movie, Kermit talking to himself.

I always did think there was something special about Rowlf.....

As I understand it, Rowlf essentially was Jim, and didn't appear in anything post Henson's death for a long time out of respect.

So yeah, there's something special about Rowlf.

Nudity is either discrete or continuous.

Perhaps nudity exhibits a discrete / continuous duality. I propose a nude double-slit experiment.

Wait.. that didn't come out right.
