Dogs Like Socks [slyt]
Yeah.... when I was a kid we had a couple dogs who liked socks so much they died from eating them. :(

I love dogs, I love dog videos.... but, I'm still trying to figure out how the audio on a dog video could make me want to punch someone in the mouth to get it to stop...

We used to have a cat that loved socks and mittens, but only as offerings to Door Gods to bring back the Beloved Humans. He wouldn't play with them while we were home, but if we both left the apt and came back, we'd find a few sitting just inside the front door waiting for us.

I have a Pembroke Corgi that will carry our socks around. She doesn't eat them, she doesn't chew them, she just carries them around the house. Its adorable and rather comical as the sock is large in comparison to her head (She is very much a runt)

My friend had a dog that would try to get the socks off of your feet while you were wearing them. Shoes were necessary at his house if you wanted to keep your socks hole- or drool-free. Or go barefoot.

Sort of reminds me of this video, substituting humans for dogs and tennis for socks.

I had a friend who had a cat that would eat tinsel. Then, time passed, and the end of the tinsel strand would emerge from the cat anus. Then began the ritual gentle pulling of the tinsel from the cat's colon. It was like a Christmas tradition.

I saw that the title cut it off in the preview, but I decided it fit with the madness of the puppies and left it.

Oh hell. My dog finally stopped his endless round of morning fetching (Here's a ball. Here's a bone. Here's a rope. Here's the kong. Here's another bone. Here's the ball. I'll just put it on your knee there.) and now I'm laughing like a madwoman and it has perked him up and I'm going to get inundated with objects again.
Here's the ball. Here it is. Right here. Throw it?

When my dog feels that I am not paying enough attention to her she grabs a pair of rolled up socks, takes them out of the room and separates them. Does not ruin them just undoes the rolled up pair.

For a while, we had two dogs (shepherd mix and a doberman) and their favorite thing was when we'd take an old sock and hold it up and each would grab it and they'd play tug o war with it and then end up fighting on their hind legs like horses.

My first dog adored socks - but only after they'd been worn for a while and had gotten good and smelly. I could barely get through the front door before she'd be on me for them; I'd take them off and throw them to her, and she would fling them in the air, roll all over them, and basically just rejoice in the stinkitude.
Dogs are gross. And awesome.

Every now and then, my parents let their guard down and the old Yellow Lab eats a sock. Maybe once every year. They then have to follow her around with a stick so when she poops and the sock starts coming out, they can stake the sock to the ground allowing her to pull the sock the rest of the way out without a human having to touch the poop sock.

I disagree with the premise. I have tried so many times to get my dog to wear socks, and he just won't.
