Queen to issue spam.

Queen to issue spam. Since 1932 the UK monarchy has broadcast a christmas message (on TV since 1957). From next year, it may also be sent in "shortened form", by SMS. Meanwhile SMS usage has increased more than double in the last year, and British companies are considering banning unsolicited text messages to mobile phones. I've never received an SMS spam, but I'm not looking forward to it.

i receive A LOT of spam from my provider :((
for those interested, it's the french SFR (those who bought universal studio) - do not subscribe anything with them, it's a pain to unsubscribe and they are so stupid they spam their own users

As a great fan of the Queen - what a tanker! - I wonder whether her 100-year-old subjects will still be getting the usual telegrams or just some silly SMS "2 Ys U B" crap.
It would kill off the old dears, just trying to access the fucker.

Vodaphone keep spamming me. My blood boils. Also, when you come out of the Channel Tunnel at the France end, the local network sends you a welcoming spam.

I thought the thing about traditions was that they stayed the same.

zpousman: $10 says Carol Anne buys a cell phone.

Never! If I could get along without a plug-in-the-wall phone, I'd gladly do so. [I've owned a PC for only 2 years, a CD player for just 5, and I am car-free.]
