I seem to recall having seen this exact same routine about 20 years ago (magic to audio tape, confusion with a banana/bandana); does anyone else remember this? Has the routine been passed on, or is he the originator?

Okay, googling seems to show that the banana/bandana skit is a popular routine for Boy Scout performances (really!).

I've seen this routine a few times myself. I'm pretty sure it's actually just available as-is from catalogs and the like.
