Explained Visually (EV) is an experiment in making hard ideas intuitive [source: hackernews] There are plenty more mathematical visualisations around, too...

Oh man, I looked at their page on conditional probability and knew in 2 seconds what they were doing, because I spent time earlier this year building up a very similar picture in my head (except with a Venn diagram). I hope this helps others!
