In which a bee stings a pianist's hand and all musical hell breaks loose

"Alfonso Muskedunder", an animated video by Bendik Kaltenborn and Espen Friberg for the song by Norwegian DJ, songwriter, and record producer Todd Terje. A '60s jazz influenced (yes that's 7/8 time) hodge-podge with 4 additional remixes (soundcloud) and a 'shortreel' of animated outtakes, it's the latest addition to a series of oddball-character-themed singles: "Inspector Norse", "Delorean Dynamite" and "Leisure Suit Preben".
Killer drum solo! And the animation that goes with it is perfect...

Terje is the best. Norway is so hot right now.

Terje really does rule. Remaster of the universe is such a monster mixtape that i played completely to death.

(did not disappoint, a++ would get stung by a psychoactive bee again)

This video isn't very similar to what being stung by a bee is like. I suppose that's a good thing!

Every day I pray for the right opportunity to come along that will allow me to invite Todd to collaborate 50/50 on a melodic funky disco house video game soundtrack that kids will grow up singing along with
If any of you have connections that might help make this happen, hmu

Hmm. I didn't see any muskedunder in the video. I'm disappoint.
(...but it made me look up why it's muskedunder in Norwegian and Swedish and blunderbuss in English, so TIL that the origin is donderbus ("thunderpipe") in Dutch, and muskedunder is simply musket+thunder. Not sure how thunder turned into blunder, though...)

That was great. Maybe I'm getting old, but it's really nice to watch an animation have fun being weird without trying to be grotesque or shock you.

Anyone who liked this, give the whole album a listen, it's called It's Album Time.

The Inspector Norse video is actually part of a longer mockumentary called WHATEVEREST, which is worth a watch (it's quite somber, though).
