Julie Dillion is an award winning science fiction and fantasy artist in a field that rarely nominates women. One of the themes of her work is diversity. And yes, she's up for the Best Professional Artist Hugo again this year.
Big fan of both her style and her subjects; was very pleased to be able to vote for her.

I will also note that she is the only professional artist to get on the ballot based on the quality of her work alone. I hope all the best for her this weekend.

She has such a wonderfully surreal and expressive style- I want to write a children's book just so I can have her do the art.

Aha! I've seen Julie Dillon's work in various posts on Tumblr but didn't know it was all by the same person. Her style is just beautiful. Thank you for the information about her.
