Design an 18th century wig. Pile on the flowers, plumes and ships to recreate -- or surpass -- the opulent, impractical hairstyles of the French court, thanks to the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Although the ship may seem like a comic touch, it's based on a real hairstyle -- which had a deeper meaning of showing French support for the American cause.
