Home Grown Veg is a youtube channel by an unnamed gardener and his border collie Molly. Our gardener hero is an intrepid experimentalist and an avid upcycler. But Molly is a keen consumer of fresh vegetables. Watch her pay rapt attention to the "unboxing" of a carrot harvest, sample various other crops (after a watering-can bath!), try out a brussels sprout, and do some harvesting on her own.
Here's more of the glorious results from container gardening. Don't miss out on the boots in this shallot video.
Unfortunately, Molly's recently had some health troubles. She's doing well so far, though, and while the latest update has an uncertain forecast, it is nothing less than a love letter to a wonderful friend.

I'm not going to lie, I knew this was basically pandering to you.
But I have been watching these for *hours* this afternoon and evening.

A lot of the UK gardening stuff is pretty relevant to SF gardening vis-a-vie temp and seasonality (not all of course we don't get snow and our rain is in winter) But the stuff that grows there generally grows here so I am eternally grateful for more ideas from that side of the pond. Also that dog is the best, my late bee-eater also liked her veggies so I am both sad about my late pooch and very glad Molly seems to have rebounded from her health issues. Great post Janell!

Just spent the past hour and a half watching these vids. From now on, whenever I harvest my little pots and find undeveloped runts, I’ll call them “mollies”. :)

Cancelling my plans, making some toast to share with the dogs, and watching these all day.

May we all be here next spring for the planting and now I’m going to make my dogs some toast.

Came for the veg, stayed for the dog. Hoping Molly will be OK!

“Molly thinks that’s a result.” Wise doggo, that Molly.

Thanks for this, I've sent it to my parents who have just caught on to YouTube, I'm certain they'll love it!
