what would you even do with a brain if you had one?

The Brain Radio is a long-running music podcast hosted by Eva and Pascal Lebrain and (probably) doesn't sound like much else you've heard...

Running since 1999, it deals in freaky electro, cheesy vintage, movie themes, dry rock, international sounds and general weirdness, interspersed with absurd aphorisms (in French). Their Amix series hosts guest mixes from their friends, collaborators and musician fans.

I've been meaning to post this for ages and just got round to it. I've been listening to it for about six or seven years. I discovered it at pretty much exactly the same time as In Our Time and, no exaggeration, listed to little but the archives of those two podcasts for about two months, which did odd things to my head. (I thought this biographical detail better belonged in a comment than the post proper.)

It took me a few minutes to figure out how to add this to my podcatcher (Overcast), since it didn't come up when I searched. I was able to subscribe by adding it by their URL: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheBrainRadioshow (Someone tell me if this is the wrong way to do this!)

Thanks for the tip, this is something I'd never heard of and seems like exactly what I need right now!

I could while away the hours conferring with the flowers and consulting with the rain.

I just started listening to AMIX #16 (chosen at random). Raucous, energetic, more interesting short-term variation than a lot of other music. Thanks for the recommendation.
