No wiki this year? Thought the Justin Timberlake and the tornado questions were pretty funny (though the kitten in the python is good too).

aside: I hate April Fools Day on the internet; not many sites do good jokes; MeFi seems to be the only site with funny jokes.

When you post the april fools joke 5 minutes after midnight it kind of ruins it for anyone else who might be fooled by it (somehow, people are still fooled). Not to mention that posting about mefi in the blue is kind of frowned upon.

I suppose if Matt deletes this someone else will post it ten minutes later. Amazing what some people feel called upon to do. But it's the helpful 'Prank' tag that really completes this.

I've recently finalized the sale of a long-running community website to a major media conglomerate. I have not yet told the users. Should I embed a veiled admission in a jokey April Fool's page so that I can point to it later and claim that, technically, I *did* warn them?
