That kitty doesn't appear to have the teeth necessary for eating corn. Sooooooo adorable, though.

Just don't say it out loud. Unless you've got a white gold wedding ring.

I doubt the cat likes corn. But it probably loves melted butter.

Au contraire. My mother's cat loves to eat fresh corn. She won't eat it off the cob, though, so my mother has to cut the kernels off and put them on a plate. Picky cat.

Arturus, I'm with you. Problem is, I'm covering reception today...
Faint of Butt: one of my parents' cats loved green beans. No butter, nothing on them. Just plain steamed green beans.

Had a cat that loved cooked brocolli -- just the stems, not the "tree" part. Liked it more than tuna, she did.
And that's the sound she made: "Om Nom Nom Nom..."

I'll never be surprised at what some cats will eat. Mine loved olives to the point where he'd steal them from an unattended salad.

btw... I once (drunkenly) let the cat eat as much olives as he wanted. Bascially put the unused portion from the BBQ on the floor. DO. NOT. DO. THIS.

Probably for the best. Grapes and raisins are on the "surprisingly toxic for cats and dogs" list, along with macadamia nuts, chocolate, onions, garlic, green tomatos, garlic powder, avacados, and mushrooms, etc. etc.
My two cats beg for (and get) broccoli and other greens. They go crazy over little dabs of plain yogurt.

How we have digressed. Anyways, good to read CAT NOMS advice and experience.
ObDigression: former housemate always put a little canned french-sliced green beans in her cats' food and they ate it up. Fiber, and vitamins, or something. Never would have guessed. Talked around it with the alley cats, it never really came up.

I had a cat that would steal corn off the stalk. He would jump up and hang from the husk until it ripped off the plant, then lug the whole thing to his hidey hole, where he'd rip off the husk and eat all the corn. Butter not required!
He was a big weird cat.
