Yes, it is a double.

I was only able to get through lv 10, sadly. Some of the oceanic ones threw me for a loop. Oddly I was only able to get as close as 76km from the target. Is this a function of the map size and pixelation, or can you get dead on a target city?

Level 9 here. efalk, I think at one point I was inside 76km, but can't recall for sure.

Yep, just did 56km.

The map is achingly tiny on my screen: it was difficult even to see the Czech Republic, much less discern where Prague might be.

Total score 380318, got through level 10. Had at least a few down to less than 100km error. Worst: Togo, which is in Africa, not the South Pacific. Over 14000km off on that one.

I too had difficulties with the size of the map. All the Scandinavian countries together would have fit on my thumbnail.

Uhh....wow. I didn't know where most of those countries actually were, much less the cities. My boyfriend, on the other hand, rocked it to the tune of 47,000+.

I did get one within 5km; however, I suspect that was more a matter of luck than any skill in terms of where I clicked. The map is so small, everything is approximate.

Er, 477,000+.

God. I can't do geography or numbers.

Level 11, but I've got to say that is one tiny freaking map!

Before this double thread closes ...

FYI --
"Created as a marketing gimmick in June by TravelPod, a travel Web site owned by Expedia, Traveler IQ now has more than four million people a month who play it on sites across the Internet, including Facebook's popular social network." *

Did you eventually find Denmark?

I scored shamefully, but I did learn something. Thanks for the link, double or not.

Got to level 11, but they wouldn't let me go to level 11. The oceanic ones and the ones in bigger countries like Australia, Brazil, Russia and India meant being off only a "little" could mean thousands of kilometers. I got one place at something like 16km. I suspect some places one could hit right on, but due to the pixels, some places may never get closer than 50 - 100 km away.

I hate to be that guy, but seriously, it's the fourth post down on your only tag.

Still love the game though.

I got to level 11. I knew I was hosed when they started asking me countries that were acronyms of little places in Africa. And Micronesia? Seriously? I'm supposed to be able to pick that out on that map? Whit not islands out there for a reference point? I especially like the one where I guess at something that would have been on the opposite side of the globe from whatever they were asking me about.

I'm proudest of hitting Venice Canals, Venice at 9 kms on that map.

I got the Hofbrauhaus in Germany almost right down the chimney--apparently that's what's on my mind as the weekend arrives.

People with the best advantages will have: a great mouse, a crappy low-res monitor, and be a resident of some dirtwater town in Australia.

Me:

Points: 627,956
Levels: 12
"Travel IQ": 138

I hit within 100km of Addis Ababa, but missed Bunker Hill by over 1,000km.

I don't know what that means.
