Fuji got a new fin back in 2004 but after two years of plans and new materials Winter the dolphin is inspiring other prosthetic wearers and has a brand new tail.

Wow, that's awesome. Nice pics of Winter, too. Reminds me of why I wanted to be a bionicist, until I discovered that I sucked at maths, chemistry, physics, and biology. So much for 'you can be whatever you want to be'...

This is all very heartwarming, but don't forget: in the wrong hands, fins can become instruments of abuse.
