Awww he reminds me of an over-eager puppy, but he sounds like a sweetie and a good guy. I hope he finds a girl who appreciates him.

On further reflection, why is this an FPP? What was your motivation in posting it, Dirjy? Were you hoping people would make fun of him? If so, why?
I think he's a very brave guy to put so much effort into writing so much about himself. I think most girls would prefer a guy who has enough balls, and enough self-confidence, to be silly and funny and self-deprecating than one who tries to be "cool" in a fake way.

What was your motivation in posting it, Dirjy?
I found it quirky and offbeat, and I thought the corny jokes were endearing. Sure, there's bound to be snark here (c'mon it's MeFi), but I thought most people would find it weirdly charming like I did.

Okay, I'm sorry I jumped to the conclusion that you were doing it to be mean. I just hope his added exposure via MeFi doesn't lead to any problems for him.

He's not a real nerd - he likes all six Star Wars films. He should be raining down a torrent of nerd-hate on the evil Lucas who stole his childhood ( (c) some idiot). I'll leave the comments on spaces, capitalization, and punctuation to someone else :-)
I don't think that he'll do too badly out of this attention though so it doesn't really matter if a few people take the piss. He did post this on the internet so he must know what could transpire. He looks like he can kick sand in faces. Or at least 'borrow' pictures of blokes who can...

What's with the glamour shots?
He's not a real nerd - he likes all six Star Wars films.
Give him a break, he's young. They marketed that shit like all hell toward the youngens. That said, he looks a couple of years too old to have fallen prey to it. Personally, I saw episodes 1 and 2 in the theatres and fell asleep during both. Naturally, I didn't even give 3 a chance.
He probably had those parents- the ones that don't let you go out to the (14A) movies with your friends in high school, and instead drag you down with them to see a 'clean' flick. Then your mom gets you your very own Jar-jar Binks t-shirt, cuz you know, he's, like, the hero of the movie.
'Poor kid sounds like he's never left the house. I'm sure he'll find a really sweet girl. No self respecting bitch would even look twice at this type of guy.

He'd give Woolf a run for her money - that's some stream-of-consciousness.
It's much to our shame as a culture that such sweetness is now almost a perjorative - we're always looking for the cynicism. I wish him the very best of luck.

Whoa, four penis puns in a personal ad? They really should just make an Asperger's category and be done with it. Perhaps compassionate do-gooders can take them out on dates every so often, listen to their crazed ramblings, and then show them the basics of conversation and grooming.

Favorite wrestlers : curt henning,randy savage,raven,Hulk Hogan, owen hart,kurt angle,the rock.
If you don't like capital letters, fine, I can accept this. Bear in mind, though, that one should not capitalize Hulk Hogan's name like He is a God amongst mortals.
He's not.

Huh. I've seen this exact ad posted in SF craigslist, so if you're posting this from Tulsa, I figured it might be spam. Yeah, he's in Atlanta, Austin, Seattle, and Philly, and probably other places but I got tired of typing.

Except as some kind of weird, pointless, performance art, why would anyone spend the time faking something like this? (Note: I'm not disputing that it's a fake. I just don't know why.)
He should be raining down a torrent of nerd-hate on the evil Lucas who stole his childhood
One day, Lucas. One day. To the last I grapple with thee.

Couple ideas:
1) To get people's email addresses with which one can spam with links (likely to a "webcam").
2) In the hopes enough people will comprehend its awesomeness and flag it as Best of Craigslist, and all the poster's dreams will thereby be fulfilled.
3) Some people who respond to craigslist personal ads are "vulnerable," and are therefore easy targets for just about any scam you want to pull.
4) Someone created the ad as revenge on someone, entering in the revengee's email to receive all replies.
5) Someone knows that many men reply to m4w ads and is trying to lure those kind of people into something.
To sum up: Because somebody's got issues.
