Hundreds of New Reef Creatures Found in Australia. Hundreds of new marine creatures have been discovered in three Australian reefs by CReefs, a census of coral reefs which is part of the Census of Marine Life, a ten-year initiative to assess global ocean diversity.
mmm, new seafood.

3) That flash game is f'in addictive. I will now be working for a desperate hour to get work stuff wrapped up due to that thing. Secretly, though, it was all worth it - I saved the reef kingdom!

I was lucky enough to go to Heron Island, once. Unlucky enough that it rained the whole week and we couldn't get into the water at all ... so I got to see a lot of brown noddies and geckos (very cute, mind you), but not a single darn fish. *sobs with envy*
Incidentally, those ctenophores? Not just beautiful, but capable of crashing the entire European anchovy fishing industry. Watch out for that ballast water, folks.
