How you will (and won't) likely die in the next 20 years (from WHO's Global Burden of Disease). Bonus: map of the last thirty years of disasters, showing the relatively safe and unsafe parts of the world.
Wow, just last night I was considering using my AskMe to see if there is any way of estimating my chances of dying a non-horrible, non-lingering death. I don't see the exact answer in here, but I can see the chances are not good.

If I've learned anything from the media and the government, it's that I am certain to die in a terrorist attack. Or possibly at the hand of RAMPAGING HOMOSEXUALS ANGRY ABOUT PROP 8.

So far I've managed to dodge California earthquakes reasonably well, being in the Bay Area for the 1971 quake, in LA for the 1989 Bay Area quake, and Tokyo for the 1994 LA quake . . .
