Thank god it's only the 1974 Bundesliga. So you did not remind me of the 1974 Worldcup....
Oh no! Now you did remind me of the finals against Germany! Argh.
Please excuse me while I go take my medication.

Note to Germans: if you are going to try and tan, be sure you don't wear shoes and socks.

Holy frijole. I'm at work and watched it with the sound off. I can't imagine anything which could improve it.
Except maybe Yakety Sax.

OMG. It's even in time within the usual crappy sync you expect from youtube.
I'm pretty sure the yakketized version of that has the power to resurrect the dead.

See that one with the beard and the geld-und-schwartz combo? That's your Dad, that is.

Wow, the dancing. And the bare feet + stirrup socks. And the matter-of-fact voice-over, as if the presenter was watching an entirely different and entirely more German fashionpresentation.

That was fucking awesome.
Reminds me of when I was a kid and visiting relatives in Holland. We Americans were pretty boring compared to that.

Did anyone else notice that a modern-day Bundesliga squad is sponsored by "Mister Ladyman," whatever the hell that is?
Stay gay, Germany.

Heh, and if you read "Ball Four" by Jim Bouton, then you'd know the white socks worn under the stirrup socks are know as "sanitaries". And, they still wear em in baseball.

I just had a thought. How great would it be if each of the dances were meant to represent the play style of each team? Like the hyperkinetic guy at the end danced for a team that did a lot of fancy dribbling and the slower more graceful dancers were represented a team known for its long, parabolic passing.
This video just gets better with repeated viewing.

Oh, yes. And then the dancers could be incorporated into actual games in the following manner: If a match is tied at the end of regulation time, each team's dancer comes to the center of the field and gives a 3 minute dance interpretation of his or her team's play during the match. A panel of 5 judges score the dances on accuracy, originality, and technical difficulty, and the team with the best scoring dancer is credited with an additional goal and wins the match!
It'd be better than the NFL's overtime system.
