Footage from multiple security cameras of a Taiwanese bus as it crashes on the freeway.
This post was deleted for the following reason: Had no idea people were dying from this. Too gruesome for metafilter… -- mathowie
Eponysterical.

Sorry Matt, but I dunno. I just thought the footage was incredible.
Here's another bus crash which isn't nearly as fascinating... except for the dude in the bottom right who appears to fall out of a car and go under the bus and then stand up and look around like wtf?

Unfortunately, the driver missed the 2x power-up and only earned the Silver achievement.

"The driver did not brake as absence speed of 80 bowling-like impact." Well, that clears that up.

4 people died in this accident - is metafilter really the place for this video?

WTF is with the violence voyeurism today? What purpose does this serve? Now we know what it's like for someone else's loved ones to be killed? Four people, to be exact.
I understand that some degree of emotional detachment is necessary to live in a globalized world, but really? Let's have fun watching a fatal highway accident?
I dunno, maybe I should just move on and mind my own business.

Good god, the carnage a single vehicle can wreak. Especially if it's a big single vehicle.
This bus driver, if in fact he fell asleep, needed guitarist james "Blood" Ulmer aboard. Why would I say such a thing? Well...
I was once (mid 90s) on a Knitting Factory group tour of Europe: my band and three other bands. We had flown from Paris to Barcelona, and were being carried on a chartered bus to a gig in Zaragoza, a few hours away. Most all of us were snoozing on the bus, when a couple of us noticed the bus veering a bit off the highway onto the shoulder. It happened at least twice, or three times, IIRC. People started waking up, and it soon became obvious that the driver was falling asleep. Very bad. James "Blood" Ulmer, who was on the tour with his trio, got up from his seat and went and planted himself directly next to the driver and proceeded to talk to him, in a running stream of English which, by the looks of it, the driver didn't understand a word of. He talked to him all the way to Zaragoza, sometimes (when need be) very animatedly. All of us on that tour may well owe our lives to Blood Ulmer. Thank you, Blood.

The left and right side claps of condition were pretty brutal.

Would it be considered tasteless to add a "play them off, Keyboard Cat" ending to this video?

You know what? I've seen in the past week: a luger die, Lady Gaga's genitals and now this, all thanks to the internet.

Videos of people dying are not best of the web. Sorry. This crap has bothered me ever since Faces of Death came out. I don't want to watch people die and to completely honest, I can't respect anyone that does. This isn't even culturally significant like the Daniel Pearl execution. Shame on you. Flagged.
