Lazy Teenage Superheroes

Lazy Teenage Superheroes - Short Film [nsfw]. A fun 12:49 minute superhero movie created by Michael Ashton.
That was pretty fun, even if the story (such as it is) was mostly a loose justification for an FX demo reel. With the ninja fight, Super Scope bong, and the surprisingly well-done bullet-time walkthrough at the end, this was totally worth the 13-minute time investment. I just wish they'd used some of their budget (such as it probably was) to get a decent boom mike, or at least record some ADR to fix the dodgy audio.
If they do a followup to this, I'd like to see them team up with Kate Beaton's Mystery Solving Teens.

Liked it a lot, while seconding the issues with the sound.

Impressive special FX, although there's a bit about two minutes in where the bug-robot lands on a roof and makes the glass in the building's windows bust out--but you can see the intact glass still in the windows. The concept? Not much of a much--James Kochalka's Super Fuckers treads much the same ground to much better effect. But this is a pretty decent student/portfolio film.

Still, it's better than Heroes.
