Stargazing. For ever.

Haunting images of the night sky above UNESCO world heritage sites: the ruins of the Mayan city of Tikal and Easter Island by astronomer Stéphane Guisard; above Uluru by Kwon O Chul. Much more.

Related: Gigagalaxy Zoom, which features contributions from Stéphane; some previous mentions of Astrosurf. I found Stéphane's work via Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy blog.

I was thinking that a couple of the pictures (who am I kidding, all of them) would make great wallpaper. Then I didn't do it. My various icons would occlude parts of the pictures. And I won't do that. I'll just have to favorite this and look at them in a pristine state.
