Laughter is Contagious

Laughter seems to be just as contagious as yawning.

(Popcorn Post, Youtube, Old People, Babies, Southerners, A kitten, and the word "Cuteums")

It's probably a lot more contagious, actually.

Yeah, I never picked up laughter from a truck stop toilet seat.

I wanted to hate the "Comedy Barn" bit, but the old guy's laugh was, actually, pretty funny. And for those impatient MeFites, the end of the routine actually features the music of Queen, rather than the Garth Brooks you were probably expecting. Which only goes to show that even Southerners (though one was from Ohio, and that don't count) will surprise you sometime.

Otherwise, I have to say, Lord_Pall, you got a lot of balls posting a baby and a kitten YouTube link to MetaFilter.

Hahahahaha... I'm a sucker for that one now, too, nj_subgenius! Fantastic! And you kept it on-topic too, what with that deep-Southern accent on the mommy there at the end of the clip.

And yes, swlabr, that apostrophe placement is key. I don't know about this nola fellow: gettin' it wrong like that... I'm guessing he's from Connecticut or thereabouts.

South Connecticut? Isn't that, like, the median on I-95?

some people call it a median, i call it home.

nola, you're allright buddy, even if you don't know where to put your apostrophes.

What does "popcorn post" mean? A little Googling reveals that the only person here who uses that phrase is, well, you.

Oddly, I don't find this very contagious.

Popcorn Post -

Devoid of nutritional content. It's candy, just entertainment.

No deep meaning, some fun discussions, some funny videos, but that's it.

of course it is. basic example - laugh tracks in sitcoms. ever notice how you start laughing at all the right times and not when you actually find something funny? GOOD comedies like Scrubs and a few others don't have laugh tracks to TELL you to laugh. i like them better.
