In a world much like our own, mouse society is imperiled by a wave of organized cat crime. A top special agent is coaxed out of retirement to transport the blueprints for a top secret weapon that is the last hope of the civilized mouse nations. Macskafogó ("Cat Trap") is a feature-length Hungarian animated film. Released in 1986, it's also available in a dubbed English version titled Cat City.
One of the best-known Hungarian cartoons, Cat City is a James Bond-style spy thriller pastiche filled with secret agents, special gadgets, and supercars. Relatively non-whacky, gritty, and realistic (for a cartoon), the style may remind US viewers of the work of animator Ralph Bakshi (previously).
You can watch Cat City on YouTube in seven parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. The dub is not particularly bad, although it undoubtedly misses much of the creative wordplay.
(Potentially NSFW: a rat wearing pasties and, toward the end, a provocative musical number called "Pussy Talk.")

But really, when is watching a 90-minute Hungarian cartoon ever safe for work?
