I wish you described what the story was about, but whatever. This is no time for flaming poor posting etiquette. Rather, I'll say that I'm not surprised the intelligence community had heard whispers about the plan, however vague the details may have been. What a shame.

I took it as merely a pointer to the organization, which I appreciated since I hadn't heard of them before and they definitely seem to be "good-guys."

Sorry, I thought your "good to know" was sarcastic, as in "it would have benn good to know this a couple days ago".
