Sooo... the guy doing the falsetto narration used to play with his sister's dolls, right?

At first I was like "Ok, human dolls with a falsetto narration, that's pretty weird." And then I was like "Ok, there're more and more dolls, that's really weird." And then I was like "And now they're dancing, that's extremely weird."
Anyway, I really liked it.

I could not eat my home-made pizza while watching this. My mouth would not close and my hands stopped moving.

All these new characters being suddenly introduced and becoming important to a quickly evolving plot.
This is just like Homestuck.

I can confidently say this is exactly what playing dollies is like with your younger sister. Especially if you have trollish intent of breaking up the monotony of Doll Life.

It needs more kung fu grip!
Vermillion Pleasure Night sounds like the kind of insanity that would be a lot of fun to watch, especially late at night.

Also, it explains a lot that this was made by the same people who made Oh! Mikey.
I get the feeling this might fit in well with subtitles or a dub on Adult Swim, right next to Tim and Eric's stuff.
That is, if they can stand to give up one of their legion timeslots for Seth McFarlane's stuff (which is syndicated everywhere else). Family Guy and American Dad have their moments, but 2 hours around midnight every time I feel like staying up is annoying. I'd love to watch Venture Bros or even something like Regular Show instead.

Psst! Inevitable Gaga mashup. I thought it felt more like Devo playing with their sisters' Barbies, but hey, I'm just a YT consumer, not a builder.

Talk about your violent fems! Good thing they don't get into G.I. Joe's footlocker and grab that M60 SAW. Shades of this. Actually, it all made sense to me until that dance number

I know it's fun to be all "WTF Japan!" but it might be a bit tamer with some context.
I will fully admit that a small part of this post is Japan LOL/WTF but then I also think, this is weird enough on its own. Yes, it does have Japanese actors/people involved in the filming, but even if these people were all white or brown or rainbow coloured, it still makes me go WTF!?

Japanese people get annoyed when their country is represented by the extremes of their cultural output (I might be the same if my home country was shown as all Carry On and Morris Dancing)... then again that was utterly bonkers

It's from Vermillion Pleasure Night, a sketch show.
I don't see what's so loljapan about this post. We're already drawing comparisons between this and Liquid Television and Night Flight, both thoroughly weird Western creations. Nobody's intimating that this is what Japanese apartment living is actually like.
Sometimes Japanese people doing awesome things is just Japanese people doing awesome things.

Something interesting to me is that Cathy keeps complimenting her precious house, etc., rather than being extremely modest. From what I understand about Japanese culture, this is a no-no. Think this is making fun of American culture?

I'm of Indian heritage (dot on my head, not woo woo). And I'm constantly annoyed at how I'm represented and perceived, but then EVERYONE is this way. I'm sure most Americans are annoyed that they're portrayed as lazy and fat and ignorant. I'm also a Canadian citizen and it's not all hockey and beavers up here. All culture is "othered" in some sense.

This is a pretty accurate representation of the action in my Barbie Dream House(R) in 1984, except for the lack of lesbian sex. What can I say? I had way more Barbies than Kens.
