Pictures of reactions from around the world. Seeing flags at half staff in other countries really gets to me. What do you think?
I was profoundly moved by those photos. For some reason, call me cold, it was the first time I sobbed since Tuesday.

Same with me. I haven't really cried yet for feeling so numb about these horrible losses. It isn't being cold, it simply is that this is so large it can't be processed quickly. The sheer number of images of people mourning all over the world struck me deeply.
Thank you campy for posting this.

I think its because it really justifies our grief... it reminds us how bad we have been hurt, and how much we need to go to heal...
as much as it made me cry as well, I was touched by how people ever where care just as much as we do
america didnt just get injured on tuesday, the whole world did

This is my house today
Today flags in The Netherlands were flown half-mast. It was a day of mourning and at noon there was a 3-minute silence to commemorate Tuesday's victims. I personally mourn the innnocent victims of tuesday's attacks, but my thoughts are also with the thousands innocent lives that this war has already cost in Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Palestine territories. Please let there be peace.

I like pictures of flags flying.
Pictures of flags flying at half-mast choke me up.
The media have used "crying" pictures every day for so long for sensationalist purposes, that the simple photos of objects get to me more than a picture of someone crying or hugging.
I don't need the media to show me people crying and hugging there, I know they are.
They are here too.

The one with the little kid in the Batman pajamas got me. I imagine his mum right next to him trying to explain what they're doing, and why all this happened.
