Animals with Stuffed Animals. Today's anti-grar.
The cat holding the upside-down teddy bear is all "What? Don't judge me!"

My favourites are the animals with toy versions of themselves, like the basset hound with the toy basset hound or the baby penguin with the stuffed grown-up penguin. Man, this is the best thing on the whole internet.

The cat holding the upside-down teddy bear looks like he's shaking it out for the money it owes him. He's probably an enforcer for these guys.

Cat is utterly humiliated by toy mouse. I like the cat nervously sneaking up on the toy on the floor, too.

The one called Mr Winkle with the dogs in a lineup is kind of confusing. I'm pretty sure the real dog is the second from the left, but they all look like stuffed animals.
And the pictures of the animal with the stuffed version of itself are clearly the best.

I have a bunny that has a passionate love for her stuffed purple alligator. There is something about the material that makes her really happy, and she'll just snuggle up next to it and lick it for ages.
Unfortunately, she's also shy about it and has never let me get a photo of this happening, so you'll just have to picture one of the cutest things you possibly imagine and pretend it's a part of this page.

you know, of course, that all those cute cats with the little toys are hanging on for dear life to what they think is their next meal... Sort of like when a politician shakes your hand it LOOKS all friendly, until you see your fingers are missing.

I so needed this today. Adorable! Love! Squee!
And I agree, the cutest ones are the animals with toy versions of themselves. This one in particular makes me smile.
Thank you.

Oh, and a lemur learning to ride a tiger? This doesn't strike me as "cute" so much as "that which finally dooms us"...

Ah yes; re cuteness and anthropomorphizing. My wife's toy poodle had a stuffed toy poodle that he just looooved! If you gave him a treat, he would take the treat to his toy and drop it in front of his little buddy. Then he would grab the toy by the neck and shake it violently until he was sure it was dead, then he'd hump the corpse a few times for good measure, then he'd eat the treat.

We needn't worry about tiger-riding lemurs. If TV and movies have taught me anything, its that Lemurs are only concerned with dancing and feet.

TooFewShoes: The one called Mr Winkle with the dogs in a lineup is kind of confusing.
Mr. Winkle himself is confusing, "a member of the canine clan... mixed with something mysterious, like a teddy bear or Japanese cartoon character."
The flash site for Mr. Winkle is also confusing, but confusing in how/why someone ported a 1995 GeoCities page into flash.

our husky has a deeper love of/need for his teddy bears than I've ever seen in a human child. He knows them by name, has them for company when he's eating, shows empathy to them, you name it. This is the best cute porn I've ever seen.
