"Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice...." Our President has vowed to "rid the world of evil." Cool. I was hoping someone would get around to that.
I actually got a chuckle out of that, so no it wasn't. Any little moment helps.
It was a pretty silly thing to say on the Presidents behalf and arrogant in some ways. Heart was in the right place, mind was on vacation.

For what it's worth, I say let it stand, sarcasm and all. It is an important thing to try to halt the slide into jingoism and violence by whatever means necessary.
It's truly bizarre that I of all people should be quoting the Bible to make a point, but here goes :
Matthew 7:2 for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Yes, Jingoism is dangerous. Especially the radical fundamentalist form of Jingoism.

Meaning what, username? Christian fundamentalists in America who blame all of this on gays, atheists and the ACLU?
No, I didn't think you meant that.

I thought it was funny. I heard it in "The Tick"'s voice, however.

Like anything I wrote could ever be as cool as The Tick. But thanks.

[Upon further reflection, this is a stupid post]
I thought it was hella-funny. It really is amazing that no one thought to "rid the world of evil" before... (sarcasm)

hey, it made me laugh. and I've been thinking...all the news channels using the "attack on america" slogan:
would it be a little better to say "world without peace"? yeah, I know, it was before, but perhaps the right meme would get everybody in a more thoughtful frame of mind....
