I so much love that the technology to make movies has become accessible to people in so many cultures that never had that access before, so that they can tell stories from their own perspectives, and from their own point of view. Even something outlandish - it's like seeing how others speak to each other, think of each other, and dream.
Living in the future is SO FUCKING COOL sometimes.

This reminds me of something that was on MeFi a while ago - Movie Posters from Ghana. I wonder if there is anything distinctive about Ghanaian film culture that produces these derivative yet original adaptations of American films.
