Religious ferver?

Religious ferver? Or just fascism in new clothes. Why do we continue call these people religious fundamentalists? Osama is closer to Stalin.
I believe that Bin Laden's attacks are more about Power than Religion, more about control of people than looking for some spiritual revolution.

Again...what does that have to do with the link you posted?

These terrorists couldn't have been muslim. For goodness sake, they drank and went to strip clubs! Next you'll tell me there are Catholics that have premarital sex, and Jews that drive cars on saturday. Nutty!

I guess I don't like to see religious belief tied to fascists.
Hey don't blame me if no one can get into my head ;-)...

Listen....carefully....
What does an article about alleged terrorists going to Vegas, gambling and getting lap dances have to do with them being fascists?

Kafka, I think, although I could be wrong, and don't speak for thekorruptor, that the post is trying to show that these men weren't actually muslims, or at least not very good muslims, so their motivation had to come from something else. So, rather than being religious crazies, they are fascist crazies, bent on exerting their will on the world.
Something like that. It's a little unclear to me, too.

OK OK I know it's your first post, korruptor, but it doesn't make sense to post an article about one topic and discuss another topic.
Anyway, welcome. Just try to adhere vaguely to the guidelines.

I can't see why you can't have both religion and fascism at play
Illogic by any other name would smell as sour....

Doug - Exactly.
Kafka, sorry 'bout the aggrevation. But, the link was the point (no matter how vague it was). I think they are fascists by action (see Taliban). And the link shows that the they were certainly not religious.
Well, this rookie will everyone alone....
For now...

Original post: 'just fascism in new clothes [...] Osama is closer to Stalin.'
Was Stalin so far left that he was actually a right wing fascist?
