BBC's John Simpson

BBC's John Simpson reports on the attacks from inside Afghanistan. i rate his reporting and am a great admirer of hir work and books
He's my favourite reporter, no contest. His column today in the Sunday Telegraph is just brilliant. It could have been filed after the air strikes, it's so on track. When a newspaperman is able to write this well and keep hitting that difficult common-sense spot it's no wonder he's tired, feelinglistless. May he never tire, indeed.
(He doesn't take care of himself. Apparently he drinks too much, but who can blame him?)

His report on BBC 1's Panorama on Sunday night was excellent.
He also let slip the titbit that while previously in Afganistan, Bin Laden had tried to bribe a bunch of mujahadeen to kill him and his crew.
