What happens when a Southern paleontologist falls for a creationist? According to Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, it might go a little something like this.

Note: Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally are married and that makes me feel all squiggly inside.

This video has adorable married people, Templar knights and Ron Swanson as God. All any video needs to have, actually.

They're married? Oh dear, I hope Will Arnett and Amy Poehler don't take it too hard when I tell them they're no longer my favorite Komedy Kouple.

Ron Swanson can't be God. Ron Swanson is a fictional character. Oh, wait...

Now I want a Mullally+Offerman, Arnett+Pehler giddy sex farce set in a Swiss chalet or something.

To see that sex farce, swing by my subconscious tonight during the second REM cycle.

Special cameo: Teri Garr as the Innkeeper!

I want Christina Applegate to guest star in Parks & Rec. Everything seems to be aligning to make it so...

But back to the vid. Is there anything that Megan Mullaly isn't fantastic in? P&R, Party Down, Childrens Hospital, Happy Endings and apparently the next season of Breaking In. She's probably got her own Hollywood bat signal.

I'm only lukewarm on her in Happy Endings. I love the show most of the time, but her first episode especially was a bit weak. I did like her second outing a lot better though.

As Tammy 2 or Lydia however, she knocks it out of the park. Need to start watching Children's Hospital. Too many shows out there! And video games.

Tired of Megan in these guest spot bit parts that all seem the same. The guest spot on Up All Night was better. Maybe I just think Karen Walker was one of the better characters on TV, ever.

You do know how messed up all that looked to a chap on the right side of the Atlantic?

Darwin was a douche and evolution is a sin ALSO DRAGONS

Your argument is invalid.

I think Offerman and Mullally are fantastic, it makes me happy they're married, it amuses me to mock creationists, and yet I thought this video was crap and almost entirely unfunny. I'm very confused.

I hate you, kmz. Not on Netflix streaming, not on Hulu and adultswim.com wants me to have a cable subscription before they'll show me six lousy episodes.

Bah! TV networks suck!

Amusing video, though of that vein I prefer WWJD.

Oh, the lies that paleontologists will suffer in order to have sex.

"Is that a dinosaur bone in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

"Uh... I think Satan must have put that there to confuse you."

"Well, it's working."

Man I want to love this so so so much, but it's just so lazily written.
It's a shame because I love the premise, the stars, and the music.

The joke is already hard to stretch to 3 minutes, but those lyricss don't do much to keep me from collapsing the window.

I normally don't go for cowboys so much (I am from a cow town and while hats and boots are nice, I look at cowboys and think of all the spitting), but damn, Nick Offerman is hot singing country!

Yes, I do think this proves that guys will put up with anything just to get laid :P

I stuck around longer than expected cuz damn it if Mullally can't sing!

yet I thought this video was crap and almost entirely unfunny.

It only got me to really smile a couple of times. I was very pleased that they had Nick (i.e. Ron) being the skeptical paleontologist instead of mining the vein he has already opened up.

It just seemed to wander, and only sort of vaguely worked its way up to the "punchline" chorus. Things like the confused guys in the bar only seemed to lampshade the awkwardness, which would have been better played straight.

I can forgive a misfire. I'll say this, unlike many fake attempts to be bad, this was something I could watch until the end.

I know it's meant as satire but, if you lost the video itself, the remaining song could probably be a reasonable hit with some creationists (provided they edit the dirty words, of course)

Mullally definitely can sing. I'm pretty sure her cover of Tom Waits' "Johnsburg, Illinois" is the only non-Tom one I can stand, let alone LOVE. (Check out her band Supreme Music Program on your preferred digital platform; the Waits cover is on the album The Sweetheart Break-in, which I can't seem to find in print anywhere but which is a GENIUS cover album).
