MORE CHEETAHMEN THAN YOU EVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE

THE HISTORY (AND MYSTERY!) behind Action 52 and Cheetahmen, FINALLY REVEALED! And, if you have five hundred bucks to spare, NES cartridges of the newly unearthed(?) CHEETAHMEN: THE CREATION is available for sale! VINCE PERRI AT HIS DESIGN BEST, the web site proclaims, though it's unclear what this is expected to mean to us!
Background in my old FPP, now I must buy the cartridge.

Good grief, how did I manage to miss that? I'd even read the whole site (it doesn't take long) before posting this, and yet I still screwed that up.

DoctorFedora: You could message a mod/admin/Grand High Arbiter/whatever-it-is-we-have-here and ask them to fix it.
Again, if Metafilter charged micropayments for edits, they'd become richer than Google in a week.

I saw the ads when I was younger, blown away, expecting 52 Mario & Mega Man quality games. Good thing I got Action 52 for 12 bucks from a pawn shop as a teenage stoner who was going through his "loving things that are terrible" phase.

Is there an internet term along the lines of 'TL;DR' for when you don't read something because it's all in upper case ?

GallonOfAlan: Dude, it's Active Enterprises. Anything less than upper-case would be disappointing.

He does have a point, though, given that this is basically the video game version of Time Cube. On the other hand, it's only entirely appropriate.

- The Miami Herald article, published in 1993, begins "At 51, Vince Perri has called himself a businessman for a long time." This makes him around seventy years old now.
- The video says "Somewhere in Miami..." but the truck has Texas registration and inspection stickers on its windshield.
- The most recent post on the site, in its entirety: "RUMOR HAS IS THAT GIRLS GET NAKED FOR ONE OF THE INCREDIBLE CHEETAHMEN T-SHIRTS..." -VINCE

I think it'd be more fitting if we somehow ambushed him and stole the cartridges.
At least, more fair.

Seriously though, after witnessing the glory of Cheetahmen via some lame thing called the internet, I find this oddly intriguing.
Thanks for the share!
