Oh, Those Crazy United Nations!

Oh, Those Crazy United Nations! They hate Kofi Annan. They're starving for Iraq. Yep, it's those crazy UN non-governmental organizations doing their damnedest to give decent liberals and lefties a bad name.
(A taster from this unbelievable official site: All behavior is caused! There is a reason/reasons why people hate us.
We can start killing some of them, but we had better also start understanding the rest of them.)
Aaron...is that you? Has Miguel been hacked?
I'm having a problem here finding that section-: just stumbled into the one where they're going on about the hypocrisy of treating the a functioning democracy and the worlds 7th largest economy--Taiwan--like it doesn't exist. Boy, thats's going to give those wimpy ass sellout liberals a bad name.
Oh, it's an irony thing...I get it.

This is not an official site, Miguel. It's run by a man named Dr. Larry Gell who is "director-general" of the official sounding International Agency for Economic Development, which isn't official at all. Seems to be a prop for his consulting business.

You think that's bad, 60 Minutes is on in this time zone and I'm hearing "..core meltdown" and "..hundreds of terrorist" in the background and I wander over in time for the Goodyear commercial that the kids in the back going "Are we there yet?" in seven different languages and the last set up is of a family on the veldt in a Land Rover with the mom going "Don't make me stop the car..." in Xhosa.
That's what the world needs: an SUV in every man's garage... I remember Isaac Asimov saying somewhere that if we brought everyone in the world up to American energy consumption standards, the heat from the appliances alone would be enough to melt the polar ice caps.
ASK ME WHAT I'M DOING FOR GLOBAL WARNING
I mean, I've got issues with hiking trails...

I apologize to all of us in the world (who believe in Peace and Love, and inclusive economic development for us all) that I was unable to convince the people who make the decisions that we needed to start listening more carefully. I tried, maybe too hard.
In fact, instead of listening to me, they “targeted” me.
Dr. Larry T. Gell
Director-General, IAED
A bit too AYBABTU, but still a classic nonetheless.

Don't look at me. I don't have any idea what anyone is talking about here. Not on the linked pages, nor in this thread. It just makes me wish I was smoking whatever everyone else is, so that the words on the pages might seem semicoherent.

If you are going to be the new “Empire,” or “Super-Empire” as we call ourselves, “Hyper-Empire” as the French recently called us, then . . . You are going to live in a glass fish bowl, under the microscope and in the cross + hairs of the rest of the world; Everything you do will be broadcast instantaneous on the Internet.
You will have to defend and kill others who attempt to kill you, and you also will have to start listening to others. If you do not listen, they (the billions of frustrated people who are hurting) will have to figure out new ways to get your attention.
Undoubtedly worth every cent we pay, n'est pas?
