The Calendario Romano, aka "the most typical souvenir from Rome," is looking for a few good men: "single clergymen and seminaristi" who wish to be featured are welcome to contact the being followed author of the Calendar to deliveries. Inevitable video tribute!
According to a message on their Facebook page, the 2012 calender's images were all repeats save for one, due to a lack of fresh participants.

I imagine they can't get fresh faces because it's superbly (superba) creepy. Fetishizing over men who at least publicly aspire to celibacy is just . . . someone's doing it wrong. This is like little girls all strippered up for pageants. You're sending the wrong signal.

I would imagine that it's more likely to be frowned upon by fellow/senior clergy. It's an open secret here in Rome that there is a sizable number of clergy who are non-celibate, some in monogamous relationships and others who simply do the one night stand thing.

I've just come back from Rome, picked up four of these.
I mean the calendars.

Interesting, unilateral, that post is dated 2005. If the creators swore then to make a calendar using "the real deal" then I wonder what that means for the 2012 version we're looking at.
