Maria Pages, dancer and choreographer is perhaps best known internationally for
Firedance.
However it is with her native Flamenco that she really takes off. Here she and her troupe interpret Shostakovich; and here are clips from Songs before a War and Utopia.

I have watched that "Riverdance" tape a ton of times, and her number is great.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit, after watching Firedance I was a bit turned off. I was bored and unimpressed (but I'm not the biggest fan of dance... I fell asleep at both of the only two ballet's I've ever been to). I'm so glad I watched the rest of the videos. She has so much passion, and it really shows in her work. Very beautiful.
