Led Zeppelin - Royal Albert Hall, January 9, 1970 (previously)
Their current two-hour plus act is a blitzkrieg of musically-perfected hard rock that combines heavy dramatics with lashings of sex into a formula that can’t fail to move the senses and limbs. At the pace they’ve been setting on their current seven-town British tour there are few groups who could live with them on stage. - Nick Logan
Of the many bootleg versions of this concert, the best is perhaps the Winston Remasters in FLAC. Links are available.

I must admit it, I jumped straight to Moby Dick.

The inevitable takedown of this has me marveling at how wonderful the world would be without all the goddamn lawyers.

Maybe this should be linked in the currently extant Led Zep thread?

I wish Jimmy would just release the audio for this show so I wouldn't have to sneak around for a FLAC. And the same with the 5 Earls Court shows, MSG in '75, West Coast shows in '77...

Robert Plant is just a god on that stage.
I love this interview of him here.
He strikes me as such an amazing person.

This is excellent. Just got to the part in Dazed and Confused At 22:00 where Jimmy Page vamps a bit on Holst's Mars while JPJ is basically a human arpeggiator. *sigh*
It's the little things.

...and by the way, please, please, please don't link YT pages that have vintage Hendrix clips on them. I need to sleep sometime, you know.

This concert is on a DVD set that was released in 2003. The whole thing is fucking great, but for me the highlight is the "C'mon Everybody/Something Else" Eddie Cochrane medley.
