In the future, once SkyNet becomes aware, these will be used as evidence in the trials of the humans to prove that we delighted in torturing machines. And the punishment will be to lock twenty men and women in a box, letting us pop up to switch off a switch clicked on by a droid.

I really like this. I'm not quite sure why. I like it so much I'm going to spend the next few hours thinking about other ways robots can be really endearing in their OCDness.

My husband made me a Useless Machine for my 40th birthday. It remains the most popular item to bring out at dinner parties/gatherings, two years later.
