In 2011, the cast of beloved and short-lived sitcom Better Off Ted reunited for Malcolm Barrett's (a.k.a. Verbal) music video "Revenge of the Nerds."
I have a theory that a number of Andy Richter characters -- Byron, Keith, Jessica -- were revised and carried over directy to Better Off Ted.

That was a fun little video. It definitely makes me think that the cast of BOT were a tight-knit group that liked what they were doing.

No, but it does feature several of his brothers.

Oh, Better Off Ted...I'm convinced that you'd have last at least another season if you'd had a better title.

That seems to be the consensus.
I can't watch most sitcoms, and the promo cast images and cutesy titles made me just ignore it, until I heard that it should have been called "Dystopic Captilast Sci-Fi Ethics Quandries for Middle-Management" or something more fitting. I think there was actually a post here a year or so ago discussing the issues with naming shows, where Ted came up, along with Terriers. (just found it here)

Man, this makes me miss the show all the more! And yeah, with a different title it probably would have succeeded. Both Better Off Ted and Cougar Town are shows where, once I get a friend to watch one episode, they're hooked. (Although with CT that first episode has to be after the first season's first six episodes or so; it took a little while to lock in.

Better Off Ted is awesome and Portia De Rossi is perfect in it.

The song is actually really solid. I'd like it quite a bit even if it didn't have the heritage.
But it does, and that makes it even more great. Better Off Ted is one of those shows that I enjoyed enough that I genuinely hope that, at some point, I get the opportunity to meet the entire cast, so that I can, one by one, give them all hugs.
Because that show fucking deserved hugs.
