The guy is ripped and I realized by the end that you'd need incredible stamina to do it, not just brute strength but with fine motor control, too.

He was on Japanese TV competition show, doing the balancing live. The ending, at the 10:30 mark, is cool. Here's the youtube link. There's multiple cameras covering his act, including an overhead one. He has to hold the whole assembly over his head for couple of minutes.
