4 minutes of a sloth hugging a cat. SLYT, that is all.
Or that sloth might be trying to work out how to get at cat brains with those big, big claws. Up to you. Warning for Jason Mraz.

Yeah, that sloth is creepy. He's up to something. Beware, little kitty!

It's not a cute animal video unless someone digs around in an ear for a while.

Was that an attempted hug, or an extremely slow and inept attempted assassination?

Under no circumstances should Kristen Bell be allowed to see this video.

My vote is for something even more sinister.

I was gonna say, show this Kristen and she would instantly vanish in a little pink puff of squee.

Oh man I loved that. The cat was almost over it, but the sloth was giving such good scritches!!
Should I get my cats a sloth?

Wow, I can't believe the cat puts up with that. Every time the sloth tried to poke its stabby claws into the cat's eyes I just winced. I reckon the sloth was definitely trying to work out if kitties are good to eat. Impressive!

I think it has figured out that if it does this, then the warm furry pillow vibrates.

Yes, but the weird lip-smacking? Maybe the cat is foliage-flavoured!

seems like sloths should live twice as long as humans given they are so chill. But it probably aint so. Anyway thats weird. I almost think it likes the cat like a pet. kinda makes sense.

I think the sloth was trying to groom its kitty friend, and kitty was being very, very patient; It obviously didn't like some of it, as it had its ears flat. On the other hand, kitty closed his or her eyes, which normally means they are happy, so it can't have been that bad.

This is adorable, but I can't imagine sloths make good pets in reality. Videos like this give me mixed feelings.

Canageek: I think the sloth was trying to groom its kitty friend, and kitty was being very, very patient
Yes, absolutely. This is exactly the impression I got. The sloth was treating the cat the way it would treat a baby sloth (combing through its fur with its enormous claws to clean it and root out parasites), and the cat was treating the sloth the way it would treat a baby human (with amazing forbearance, because refraining from violence against babies is an important survival skill for cats).
I do like the "digging for cat brains" idea, though, and it strikes me that the idea of sloth zombies has a lot of potential. Those freakishly long arms with their freakishly long claws...

baf: I think the cat enjoyed some of it: the closed eyes look pretty happy to me. I'm betting those long claws feel pretty good when he is just scraching and not doing weird huggy things and messing around with his head.
