Marie's World Tour

Marie's World Tour : "Marie is going around the world by surface transport. That is, she is taking ships, buses, trains, donkeys, and whatever local transport is available. It's not the most comfortable way of seeing the world, but it is the best way to see the world, up close. She is using cybercafes to post updates, enabling readers to travel along with her on a virtual field trip." A great travel journal with lots of interesting pictures.
Yes, Calebos, very cool. Though I have to admit that I clicked hoping to see a shot of Marie Osmond riding a camel...

Hey! I know her, or used to. She's pretty cool. She did coloring for Marvel Comics, if I remember correctly. She's the kind of chick who goes to Peru and plays pinball, you know?

This is exactly what Jeff Greenwald did a few years ago, sending in reports from the field via an Omnibook to Wired. It's a fantastic story. The book is called "Size of the World"
I admire these sort of people. Thanks for the link!

Id like to do it. Have the time and money and freedom. No airplanes is cool. Any other ideas? Driveing it would be cool in a Unimog.
