Moses Sumney - Irreplaceable
July 31, 2013 3:22 PM   Subscribe

LA-based singer-songwriter Moses Sumney performs his song "Replaceable" in a single-take video shot by famed director Brian Cross, aka B+. Recommended if you like loop pedals (previously-ish) &/or soul music.

The former LA Weekly intern and UCLA student has made a quite a name for himself in the local scene. More of his tunes (including great covers of James Blake and Lianne La Havas) are at his SoundCloud page.

I enjoyed this. It reminded me of Jay Reatard, forever may he roam in peace.

If you also like loop pedals and turntables, you might enjoy Cut Chemist's 'Sound of the Police' mix.

box: I was part of CC's management team at the time Sound of the Police came out; it's one of my favorite things he's ever done. Watching him perform it live was mesmerizing, technically masterful and really funky.
