Sylvain Sylvain's "Rampage of Songs"

Most Friday nights at 10 PM EST, the guitarist of the New York Dolls hosts a "Rampage of Songs" on the band's Facebook page

He posts videos of mostly 50s to 70s rock 'n' roll and punk songs and sometimes takes requests. Past songs have included:
The Pretty Things - Don't Bring Me Down
The Seeds - Try to Understand
The Street Cleaners - That's Cool That's Trash
Syndicate of Sound - Little Girl

And even some one offs:
Ian Dury - Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick
Serge Gainsbourg - No No, Yes Yes

I was watching a random episode of The Midnight Special recently, when all of a sudden this song came on. David Johansen's opening scream was like a slap in the face to wake up from all the typical 70s MOR schlock. The audience looked like they'd been slapped in the face too, or had just eaten something highly unpleasant. Except for one cool girl singing along in the front row. I wonder whatever happened to her.

Maybe I'll use this video for my next Friday Night Facebook video post.
