the hottest (and fakest) magazine covers.

That last link, being fully authorized by Disney Co., naturally has a lot less satiric content that the first two—it also rips off/neutralizes more than a few ideas from "Disney Princesses, Deconstructed".

Thanks. I had tried to find a page from the source with all of the images together but I guess I didn't look hard enough.

Those Disney princesses in prince costumes are so awesome they are in my mind now the canonical versions of each character. Which means Admiral Ariel just superseded Hipster Ariel. Rank up!

I love what the internet has done to my childhood nostalgia. Mostly.

Wait, since when did Disney make a movie about the 10th Doctor?

Hmm, and isn't this bit on that page about the Disney princes derivative of a couple of SNL skits featuring guest hosts Jon Hamm and Tom Brady? (Or perhaps SNL cribbed their idea; the timing of the Disney one is fuzzy.)

They made sure to hit all the marks of the modern princess lifestyle: shopping, cooking, tapestry repair.

I don't know, but Karen Hallion may be doing some more concept art...

Whistle While You Twerk.. good one..

It's an old Ying Yang Twins lyric that I'm not surprised to see come back now that twerking has entered the popular lexicon.

I'm dubious that the person even knew the lyric, actually. I mean, Sleeping Beauty + twerking... there's an obvious go-to there.

And Amy Mebberson's Time Lord Princesses are here, but this page has a bigger picture for those who want to zoom in and look for details.

It does seem like there's been an uptick in Princess™ mashups lately, both in fanart and in cosplay, although it could be that I'm just noticing it more.

Reddit's /r/alternativeart is a pretty good resource for this stuff, also. For anyone else who would see something like this and think that's a rabbit hole they want to jump down.

Loved virtually all the Princesses dished out in the Prince uniforms. Reminded me a lot of Utena.

the entire twerking thing as a fad for white people to be obsessed with and lol about is wearing really, really thin.

the genderswapped costumes are awesome, though.

Ok, I'll admit my knowledge of Disney Princesses is rather weak, though I'm sure I saw most of the movies that were out when I was a kid. Anyway, I'm curious: can someone tell me who the 3rd princess down in the cross-dressing one? Someone mentioned in passing to me it might be Rose, but I don't remember a character by that name; I'm guessing she is from a movie that came out since I was a kid? (The only two modern Disney movies I can remember seeing are Road to El Dorado, and Mulane, both with my younger brother.)

Apart from the very deliberate top-of-thigh-gap.

OMG, Ariel is Tiffany! I always suspected!

Sweet! I actually love that he's not using a lot of padding, because he looks more like the original animated characters who were, in general, nowhere near as buxom as the current "franchise" models. He's beautiful on both sides. My only criticism, and I say this as a fellow low-hairlined brunette, those blonde wigs work a lot better if you soap or glue the dark hair down and make up over it. Or, since it only really shows in two pictures, a different pose might have worked better. Still, amazing work.

And poor typeface selection! Shopping, cooking, tapestry repair...and poor typeface selection.
