Oh. You are right.

I think I'll watch it again.

I have a motorcycle that I am not riding right now. I need some friends like these 81-year old Taiwanese dudes.

Cried and forwarded. I held it together until they all posed for the black & white photo, and everything sort of collapsed from there.

I ride a motorcycle (it's my only vehicle) and I'm over 60.

Motorcycle riding with friends tends to be a dichotomous thing: You either get it, or you don't.

OK, weather is cooling off. Let's meet this weekend and take a week riding around Utah. Who's in?

Wow...

Just wow...

I wish I still had my bike and some spare cash and I would be there.

6 months to prepare? Didn't think they all had the time. Neat.

I used to ride in college (30 years ago). There is nothing like getting up early on a Sunday and taking off into the country to clear that Saturday night out of the system. Riding from 7:00am to 10:00 and then stopping for some grease for breakfast. Those were the days.

I"m 65, and just sold my Harley this summer....

This was neat...thanks.

The song featured in the commercial has a scifi music video directed by Miyazaki.

Dunno, man. I think The Wire kicks that commercials ass.

Seriously, though, that was very sweet. Inspiring. And who wouldn't love and root for these old gentlemen? Wish it wasn't a commercial for a fucking bank, though. I mean, really. How many old people's houses have they foreclosed on, one wonders.

gotta say, the music was lame, too...

all kinds of average and sub-average elements (particularly the client) ... and yet I'm moved. I think it's the degree to which it speaks to common humanity. I know very little about Taiwan, and yet I got it ...

I think I'm going to my bank tomorrow, dammit.

I don't know how you happened onto this....but thanks so much for sharing it. My favorite part is the man holding up the photo of his friend.

Thanks euphorub. It is beautiful even if I feel like I missed a lot of subtext and meaning there.

I would watch the heck out of this movie. Though I fear they would cast Travolta and Allen.

I feel conflicted.
It's an ad for a bank with sucky moozik and I loved it. But when the bank's logo appears at the end it's like I'm pinned to the floor with advertising holding me by the wrists going - "Why you hittin' yerself huh? I'm not doin' nuthin and yer keep hittin' yerself!"

Oh, and while we're on commercials, a tearjerker from Thailand, here. (HuffPo link)

Oh my. It's suddenly *very* dusty in here, and I believe some of it got right into my eye.

::Sniff::

Yes. Dust. In my eye.

Forget the bank, I would like to invest all my money in the future projects of Jennifer Hu.

Speaking of epic commercials, did everyone see this already?
