Apparently they even do a bunch of smart filtering to reduce the nudity percentage (although thankfully it didn't catch this guy).

This is great! I'm starting to actually like this song.
Say what you will about Miley, but I think the song is one of the best pop song that years of being a million dollar Disney child star can buy your adult self.
Speaking of songs, as a non-Chatroulette user, I like to imagine that people will always lip sync along to whatever you do if they know the song and that a high percentage is just people randomly singing songs together.

I thought the version Miley did on SNL was better than the studio cut. Of course I can't attest to the provenance of that performance, but to the ear it was more felicitous.

This wins. This is honestly the only Miley Cyrus song I could name, but I agree it's not bad. The arrangement is unusual - the music is very sparse and highlights her voice very heavily in the mix. It has texture and doesn't seem to be processed much, or at all. She may be an outrageous spectacle at the moment, but she has talent.

I read something recently about one of the writers of the song, Stephan Moccio. It has made a big difference for him, as he'd just moved to LA from TO. It's not a bad tune.

I'm not ashamed to admit that as a 31 year-old straight male, Steve Kardynal is my favorite YouTube celebrity. There is something about his enthusiasm and joy that is infectious, and I love the way this comes out in his video composition.

What I love - and this is the same with his previous vids - is the number of quite bro-ey looking guys who are totally into it, and laughing and singing along etc, not pretending to be grossed out to establish how not-gay they are. Gives me hope for the young uns it does.
