Chamallow, le chat roi de l'évasion (SLYT).
Le chamallow is French for marshmallow and sounds like le chat Malo - Malo the cat.
This post is dedicated to a certain Mefite.

I love how it's shot. White cat. White cage. It could be an art movie.

Chamallow is actually a brand name. Marshmallow is guimauve.
I liked how they put it in a second cage. Sure, that will fool this clearly stupid cat.

And yet an open cardboard box can hold a cat for hours and hours.

I feel like the subtext to that is: "Next step; the can-opener! mwahahahahahaha!"

So a better translation for "Chamallow" might be "Stay Puft"?

Chamallow is actually a brand name. Marshmallow is guimauve.
Kleenex is a brand name too. Chamallow is roughly equivalent in widespread usage, vs. "guimauve" which would get you a raised eyebrow and secretive mutterings about you potentially being a snooty Parisian. /currently living in Paris, not Paris-ist
Chats Malo are generally a history-making sort. My own chat Malo set web history when he started his catblog in 2001, with captioned photos and everything (now defunct because whoa spam). I remember when I encouraged him to go for it: "you'll see!!! In a few years the internet will be taken over by cats!!!"
no one else believed me.

In case anyone was wondering who that certain Mefite is. I'm saddened by the sudden decrease in cat-literacy since 2001.

Why is the cat in such a tiny cage with no food, water or litter box? :(

This reminds me of a time long ago when my mother, sister and I went to the mall to buy a beaded curtain for an open doorway. We made the "mistake" of stopping in a pet store at the mall for a minute and spotting a half grown cat in a cage using his paw persistently to try to open the cage latch. Needless to say, we went home with the cat and without the curtain. He turned out to be a skilled latch opener, and never did like a closed door.

I would say something about cats needing to evolve into having opposing digits
Ah, but they already are well on their way to this evolutionary milestone!
I have one, and besides being a complete bastard, he's quite good with his thumbs, using them to grab toys that the other cats can merely bat around.
I fully expect him to one day figure out that he can open his catfood himself and do away with the rest of us. Probably while we are sleeping. Because like all cats, at the end of the day, he's fundamentally a furry murder machine.

If your cat lets you sleep it might not actually be a cat.

In the video description it says the cat lives at a vet's office. They put him in the cages just to show what he can do.
