Kids Interview Bands is a video interview series hosted by 7th graders Olivia and Connie.

The site launched in August 2012 and the girls have done over 100 interviews with touring bands passing through the Columbus, Ohio area, including Barenaked Ladies, Garbage, Insane Clown Posse, Mastodon, the Melvins, Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age, and every 12-year-old girl's favorite, Slayer.

Full list of interviews here.

Because my favorite bands really appeal to my inner 12-yr-old, fun post!

Oh man, this is who I would have been if I were 13 now.

Despite decades of lyrics about evil and destruction, Tom Araya has never scared me as much as he did with his hearing in that interview.

I really liked the ICP one. They actually seem like pretty good guys.

The questions they ask are fantastic, but it's hard to watch these all the way through because it doesn't really feel like the kids are talking to the artist. It reminds me too much of the kids in my elementary school who, when asked to read from a book, would struggle through a paragraph of text. But the artists are great at handling this and I'd read a transcript any day.
