What is your medieval vocational personality? CMI's "Kingdomality" Personal Preference Profile is a fun way to gain a broader understanding of the basic complementary personality styles and types that help determine each individual's vocational interests. Mine was benevolent ruler.... just as I thought.

White Knight! Now, time to slaughter the peasants...I mean, share my time and skills with them, expecting nothing in return. Impaled on my sword is its own reward!

This is the only interesting 'What (x) are you?' test I've taken.

I was the Prime Minister.

I'm a Dreamer Minstrel. Unfortunately, I don't think they're hiring those at the moment...

i'm also a minstrel, and not nearly as positive as it makes me out to be. i aspire, in truth, to be a poopular bard.

Dreamer Minstrel sounds like a nice occupation to me jonmc.

Nine dancers I know took the test and eight of them were Dreamer Minstrels.

Your distinct personality, The Bishop is to impose your own order upon the chaos that you find. Your most valuable talent is in giving ideas a reality base and in making the unreal seem real. On the positive side, you can be imaginative, realistic and idealistically pragmatic. On the negative side, Bishops may be devious, short-sighted and rigidly impractical. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

hey moz...we're both minstrels, lets form a band...we'll play smiths songs but in the style of Twisted Sister! I'll bring the beer...

Dancers, huh? Well, Tarrama, I'm a PC salesman by trade. So not much call for minstrelsry there, I'm sad to say...

Your distinct personality, The Merchant, might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Your overriding goal is to always be competitive, for Merchants are the deal makers. Every situation is realistically analyzed for its profit potential. A well executed deal, even one that is profitable for all participants, can be its own reward for many Merchants. On the positive side you can be logically practical, rational and realistic. On the negative side you may be rigidly dogmatic as well as unmerciful and precipitous. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

Hmmm interesting.

Your distinct personality, The Benevolent Ruler might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. You are the idealistic social dreamer. Your overriding goal is to solve the people problems of your world. You are a social reformer who wants everyone to be happy in a world that you can visualize. You are exceptionally perceptive about the woes and needs of humankind. You often have the understanding and skill to readily conceive and implement the solutions to your perceptions. On the positive side, you are creatively persuasive, charismatic and ideologically concerned. On the negative side, you may be unrealistically sentimental, scattered and impulsive, as well as deviously manipulative. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

So there.

another dreamer minstrel here.
the 5 billion farthing question though is what do you have to answer to get to be a dragon?

It's not as much fun without the 'your type constitute only x% of the population' bit to make you feel all superior.

Jake - as minstrel, shall I deign to entertain thee with a song m'lord...yes so be it

Erm...you can't. The types are Benevolent Ruler, Black Knight, Discoverer, Doctor, Dreamer Minstrel, Merchant, Prime Minister, Scientist, Shepherd and White Knight.

"Your distinct personality, The Engineer-Builder might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Your overriding goal is to stick with the plan and get the job done. "If it ain't broken don't fix it." is your motto. You provide structure and stability to your world." Geez, I never thought of myself as an engineer....

Your distinct personality, The Black Knight, might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Your overriding goal is to win. You approach each task or situation as a contest to be won strategically and efficiently. Because you can control your feelings, it is not unusual for you to charm, as well as successfully delegate tasks and responsibilities to the more emotional types. You are often concerned with what's in it for you. You seldom involve yourself in activities where you can not foresee a reward for your investment or effort. On the positive side, you can be analytically empathic and logically persuasive. On the negative side, you may be unemotionally manipulative as well as arrogant, selfish and impulsive. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

I got Benevolent Ruler. And yet, I'm obviously not charming or devious enough to wrangle my own country yet...ah, that's where the scattered part comes in...well, the millennium is young...cloning a distinct possibility...I'll take over the world yet...but really, it's only for it's own good. :) And then, dagnabbit, people will be happy or I will give them SUCH a pinch! :)

Benevolent Ruler. Ahhh... I have fooled even the machine, for I am only as benevolent as my deviousness will allow to show.

Charisma is for those with no real power.

Career Management International.

Every distinct personality ends with this sentence. How interesting.

Yet another Benevolent Ruler. Bah. No Bloodthirsty Tyrants or Insane Dictators, I guess :

"Your distinct personality, The Bloodthirsty Tyrant might be found in most of the doomed kingdoms of the time. You are the psychotic baby killer. Your overriding goal is to destroy the people of your world. You are a twisted maniac who wants everyone to be miserable in a world that you can visualize. You are exceptionally immune to the woes and needs of humankind. You often have the cruelty and hatred to readily conceive and implement the final solutions to your perceptions. On the positive side, you are creatively violent, charismatic and ideologically unconcerned. On the negative side, you may be unrealistically sentimental, scattered and impulsive, as well as deviously manipulative. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms."

The last two sentences needed no alteration. Heh.

This has been around forever, at least since 1997. I'd forgotten all about it, good link.

I got the Discoverer this time, as opposed to the Ruler. A step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned.
